A little bit about the image at the top of my page:
This is a small slice of of an image of the Orion Nebula. The picture is a composite of many images taken with five different filters. The images were taken using the Wide Field Imager camera on the Max Planck Society/European Southern Observatory 2.2 meter telescope at the La Silla Observatory in Chile. The photo is credited to the European Southern Observatory and Igor Chekalin.
