About the image at the top of each page:

The picture at the top of each page on my website is a picture of the Eta Carinae Nebula. This nebula is about 9000 light-years away from Earth and is about 460 light-years across. This nebula is not only beautiful, but is also an important area for study because of all of the star formaion that is currently happening within it. This image is a composite image of data taken on the CTIO and Hubble telescope
