Noche de Estrellas

¡Hola a todos! 

¡Acompáñanos el jueves 27 de abril a las 7 pm en la Noche de Estrellas, una cautivadora noche bilingüe de astronomía organizada por el Departamento de Física y Astronomía de SF State! ¡Asegúrate de marcar este emocionante evento final del semestre en tu calendario!

Comenzaremos con una charla presentada por el estudiante de doctorado de UC Santa Cruz, César Rojas-Bravo, sobre El descubrimiento dela kilonova, un evento único en Astronomía! 

Mientras tanto, el primer espectáculo de planetario (en inglés) tendrá lugar justo al lado; los asientos son limitados, ¡así que asegúrese de llegar temprano! El segundo espectáculo de planetario, en español, seguirá después. Si el cielo está despejado después, abriremos el observatorio y los asistentes podrán mirar a través de los telescopios con la ayuda de guías bilingües. Por favor, lea el horario adjunto para saber cuándo se llevarán a cabo los eventos en inglés y español.

Join us on Thursday, April 27th at 7 pm for Noche de Estrellas, a captivating bilingual night of astronomy hosted by SF State's Department of Physics & Astronomy, and make sure to mark this exciting final event of the semester on your calendar! 

We will begin with a fun astrophysics talk presented by UC Santa Cruz PhD student, César Rojas-Bravo on The discovery of the kilonova, a unique event in Astronomy! 

Meanwhile, the first planetarium show (in English) will take place right next door; seats are limited so please make sure to arrive early! The second planetarium show, in Spanish, will follow. If the sky is clear afterward, we will open up the observatory and attendees can look through the telescopes with help from Bilingual docents. Please read through the schedule attached to find out when English and Spanish events will be taking place.
