Title: Rapid, Real-time, Non-destructive Material Analysis Using the MicroNIR Spectrometer

Abstract: The MicroNIR is accepted as one of the top miniature near-infrared spectrometers on the market due to its exceptional performance, robust designs, ease of use, and compliance to highly regulated industries. In this talk, I’ll review the basics of NIR “vibrational” spectroscopy and will provide an overview of the MicroNIR spectrometer as well as the data analyses relevant to predictive modelling in spectroscopy. I’ll also discuss my specific role as an engineer on the MicroNIR team and will conclude with a demonstration of real-time material identification using the MicroNIR.
