Tour of Joby Aviation
Overview
Following the success and excitement following the recent tour of Humble Robotics in SF with Ronen Sarig, we've got another opportunity for a tour of Joby Aviation in San Carlos with Tim Murcko.

Joby Aviation locates their non-airframe development in San Carlos. That’s where we’re going. There are an amazing amount of powertrain, battery, motors, avionics, and other components being developed and tested at this facility. They expect full FAA certification this year and to begin commercial flights as well.
Tim is an accomplished Senior Power Electrics Engineer with a great resume of cool workplaces and hobbies. Tim was a member of the same Battlebots team as Ronen and we’ve all done significant mountain bike trips.
We are expected to attend a 1.5 hour tour on Thursday (March 5) starting at 10am. We need to keep the number of attendees below 15, so we need to sort for the most eager looking to go. Make sure to include a meaningful (NOT AI) paragraph expressing why you should be included in the group. Also, reply ASAP.
Also, please forward this to another student that you think would value this experience.
Be prepared to sign an NDA to attend.
Logistical planning will happen on Tuesday next week. It’s a ½ hour trip from the university by car. Hopefully, we can carpool sensibly. Early is on time, on time is late.
